The MD-IMT held the National Fire Academy's O-305 Introduction to All Hazards Incident Management Teams Course at the Maryland Fire and Rescue Institute located on the campus of the University of Maryland College Park. Students spent five days learning the aspects of a functional incident management team followed by a day long capstone exercise. Students from Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Charles, Howard, and Prince Georges Counties; Maryland Department of Emergency Management; and the Hampton Roads Incident Management Team participated.
